Piper Companies is seeking a Principal Data & Integration Architect to join an established healthcare organization. This position is 100% REMOTE.


Requirements of the Principal Architect:

  • Develop, maintain, and champion an enterprise-wide Data & Integration Architecture roadmap.
  • Align IT strategy and solutions with business objectives.
  • Provide strategic consultation on technology-based solutions.
  • Present architectural concepts with compelling qualitative and quantitative findings.
  • Create and manage a data, integrations, and applications roadmap.
  • Develop and oversee Technical Reference Architectures, ensuring quality and security standards.
  • Monitor and manage Technical Debt in the IT environment.
  • Assist with Data Governance leadership, ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Analyze IT environments to identify deficiencies and propose solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and implementation guidance.
  • Mentor team members and enhance IT department maturity.
  • Continuously evolve Data & Integration architecture based on emerging technologies.

Qualifications of the Principal Architect:

  • 10+ years of experience with Enterprise Applications, Integrations, Databases, and Cloud environments.
  • 5+ years in an architect or technical leadership role.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Azure and cloud governance.
  • Advanced understanding of Cloud-based Systems Integration, Data Security, and Architecture Governance.
  • Extensive experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks.
  • Proficiency in data modeling (UML, ArchiMate, ERDs).
  • Experience in Healthcare provider platforms (ASC) and HL7/FHIR standards.
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and data protection.
  • Mastery of TOGAF framework (certification preferred).
  • Experience with risk management methodologies for integrations and software engineering.
  • Knowledge of SDLC processes, architectural patterns, and development frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain data quality standards.
  • Proven success in enterprise-wide architecture frameworks and business strategy alignment.
  • Experience in Mergers & Acquisitions diligence and integrations (desirable).

Compensation:

  • Salary: $120,000 - $170,000, depending on experience plus an annual bonus.
  • Comprehensive benefit package: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, PTO. Sick leave as required by law.
