Piper Companies is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join a global financial powerhouse pioneering innovative banking solutions while shaping the future of sustainable finance for a full-time, hybrid position located in Cary, North Carolina (NC). The Full Stack Engineer will architect and develop complex enterprise systems using Big Data technologies and modern programming frameworks while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions through the entire software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities of the Full Stack Engineer include:
- Architect, build, maintain, validate, implement, and sustain system components across their full lifecycle
- Partner with stakeholders across business and technology teams to guide projects from inception through final delivery
- Execute medium to large initiatives autonomously or alongside distributed global teams
- Follow established agile practices and engineering quality standards
- Oversee complex IT projects using proven project management and SDLC methodologies
Qualifications for the Full Stack Engineer include:
- Proven experience with Java or Scala programming, with working knowledge of Python being a plus
- Demonstrated proficiency in Big Data ecosystems including Spark, Impala, Hive, and Hadoop infrastructure
- Strong command of enterprise technologies including Rule Engines (IBM ODM, Drools), Hibernate, Spring, and Java Message Service (JMS)
- Expert understanding of software development fundamentals including data structures, design patterns, and frameworks, with experience in TDD/BDD practices preferred
- Solid background in Agile/Scrum methodologies, with Google Cloud Platform experience being advantageous
Compensation for the Full Stack Engineer:
- Salary Range: $100,000-$142,000 /year (based on experience)
