Piper Health & Sciences is actively seeking an experienced Medical Reviewer to join an oncology and infectious disease research organization in the Washington, DC area. (Note: this is a hybrid opportunity with weekly on-site travel required.)
Responsibilities for the Medical Reviewer include:
· Ensure compliance with FDA, WHO, and global regulations for adverse event reporting
· Develop and enforce guidelines for timely and standardized adverse event processing
· Act as a liaison between internal teams and external collaborators to align regulatory reporting requirements
· Conduct medical evaluations of adverse event reports
· Review experimental protocols and informed consent documents
· Prepare, review, and edit presentations on drug safety concerns
· Support clinical research by collecting, analyzing, and reporting adverse events for both marketed and investigational drugs
· Contribute to regulatory documentation, including new drug applications, safety updates, investigator communications, and product labeling
· Maintain and update safety data from clinical and preclinical toxicity studies
· Organize and maintain publications related to drug safety
· Lead and coordinate client requests and projects
· Participate in staff training, mentorship, and business development initiatives
Qualifications for the Medical Reviewer include:
· 7+ years of direct experience in clinical research and drug safety
· Ability to analyze medical research data and summarize safety information
· Doctor of Medicine degree (M.D., ECFMG or equivalent) is required
· Active M.D. license to practice in Maryland is a plus
Compensation for the Medical Reviewer includes:
· Salary range: approximately $120,000 - $150,000 annually
o With active M.D. licensure in Maryland: $150,000 - $170,000 annually
