CNC Set-Up Technician

Piper Companies is currently looking for an experienced CNC Set-Up Technician in Trevose, Pennsylvania (PA) to work for an innovative and growing surgical equipment manufacturer.

Responsibilities for the CNC Set-Up Technician include:

·       The CNC Set-Up Technician is responsible for preparing CNC machines for production by interpreting technical drawings, selecting appropriate tooling, and setting machine parameters

·      Set up Swiss CNC machines by mounting, aligning, and securing tooling, setting machine parameters (speeds, feeds, etc.), and programming the machine control unit according to the technical drawings

·      Perform quality checks on machined parts using measuring tools and inspection methods to ensure they meet the required specifications. 

·      Troubleshoot and resolve any mechanical or programming issues that may arise during the machining process, making necessary adjustments to the machine or tooling.

Qualifications for the CNC Set-Up Technician include:

·      A minimum of 2 years’ experience with CNC machining (Swiss machines preferred)

·      Problem Solving capabilities - Identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner; Developing alternative solutions.

·      Ability to read and interpret blueprints

Compensation for the CNC Set-Up Technician include:

·      Salary Range is $45,000-$80,000 dependent upon experience
