DevOps Network Security Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a DevOps Network Security Engineer who will configure and manage security groups and network security initiatives. The DevOps network security engineer will be hybrid in Raleigh, NC.

Requirements for the DevOps Network Security Engineer include:

-       Configure and oversee security groups and network security initiatives to ensure robust protection for all systems.

-       Set up and administer firewalls across multiple regions, and establish and secure VPNs.

-       Handle complex, major, or highly visible tasks supporting multiple projects.

-       Identify and rectify errors and deficiencies in existing systems, developing both long-term and short-term solutions.

-       Manage security patches and proactively address security vulnerabilities and compliance issues.

-       Participate in application operations and assist with troubleshooting.

Qualifications for the DevOps Network Security Engineer include:

-       4+ years of experience in a previous network role

-       4+ years of experience with AWS, both in console and CLI

-       4+ years of experience working with firewalls and security components (vulnerability scanning and antivirus software)

-       4+ years of experience with CI/CD tools, infrastructure coding, and container orchestration platforms

-       4+ years of experience in Windows System Administration, specifically hands on with Active Directory

-       Direct experience with SQL server and Postgres in production environments

-       Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related IT field

-       Must be able to a hold a security clearance.

Compensation for the DevOps Network Security Engineer includes:

-       Hourly rate: $40 - $45
