Senior Java Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Java Engineer who can collaborate with business stakeholders and implement solutions based off data algorithms. The senior java engineer will be hybrid in Cary, NC.

Requirements for the Senior Java Engineer include:

-       Work closely with team members and business stakeholders to conceptualize and design new features.

-       Develop and implement solutions in line with the agreed-upon design specifications.

-       Leverage knowledge of algorithms, complexity, and data structure to write efficient and optimized code

-       Collaborate with the QA team to create and maintain automated tests for both new and existing functionalities.

-       Engage in Level 3 (L3) production support, diagnosing and resolving production issues effectively.

Qualifications for the Senior Java Engineer include:

-       5+ years of experience in developing and deploying distributed applications

-       5+ years of working with Java Core concepts (collections, multi-threading, and networking)

-       Background in financial industry technology, with a solid grasp of investment banking products and trading workflows

-       Familiarity with Java Message Service (JMS), Solace, IBM MQ

-       Understands Linux servers and SQL querying, and hands on experience with Scrum or Agile methodologies

-       Bachelor’s degree in a related field

Compensation for the Senior Java Engineer includes:

-       Salary range: $100,000 – 140,000
