Clinical Research Physician - Family Medicine

Piper Companies is seeking a Clinical Research Physician - Family Medicine to join a a trusted leader advancing the future of medicine for a full time, onsite position in Raleigh, North Carolina (NC). The Clinical Research Physician will provide comprehensive clinical oversight and leadership for Phase I-IV trials, ensuring participant safety and scientific integrity while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across pharmaceutical, medical, and research domains to advance clinical development within our organization.

Responsibilities of the Clinical Research Physician include:

• Lead and provide clinical oversight to research teams, ensuring successful execution of clinical trials in accordance with FDA regulations and GCP guidelines
• Evaluate and assess study participants through physical examinations, health interviews, and eligibility screenings according to research protocols
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with internal/external medical professionals, opinion leaders, and cross-functional teams including Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Operations, and Patient Engagement
• Provide expert clinical direction to study teams through diagnostic report review, protocol interpretation, and ongoing medical guidance

Qualifications for the Clinical Research Physician include:

• 10+ years of post-training physician experience with current medical license and board certification in specialty area; no history of license suspension or debarment
• Demonstrated expertise in treatment protocols, drug interactions, and clinical research, with ability to provide comprehensive oversight to study teams
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with proven ability to build strong relationships with patients and biopharmaceutical sponsors
• Strong leadership qualities with meticulous attention to detail and commitment to clinical excellence

 Compensation for the Clinical Research Physician:

• Salary Range: $200,000-$250,000/year
