Senior Analytical Chemist - LCMS

Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Analytical Chemist to join a global leader in clinical research and healthcare analysis for a full time, contract, and onsite position located in Pomona, California (CA). The Senior Analytical Chemist will develop and validate LCMS testing methods for drugs of abuse in biological samples while ensuring compliance with FDA regulations for clinical diagnostic products.

Responsibilities of the Senior Analytical Chemist include:

• Develop and optimize LCMS test methods for detecting drugs of abuse in biological matrices including oral fluid and urine samples
• Execute method validation protocols and characterization studies for LCMS analytical methods following FDA and regulatory guidelines
• Perform quality control testing and release of calibrators and controls for clinical chemistry analyzer assays, including 510(k) cleared products
• Lead technical troubleshooting of analytical methods and provide scientific expertise for method optimization and improvement

Qualifications for the Senior Analytical Chemist include:

• MS or PhD in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Toxicology, or related field with 5+ years of hands-on LCMS method development and validation experience
• Demonstrated expertise in sample preparation techniques including solid phase extraction, filtration, and general laboratory bench work
• Proficiency with Shimadzu LCMS systems and related analytical instrumentation
• Strong technical background in analytical method development, troubleshooting, and data analysis with experience in FDA-regulated environments

 Compensation for the Senior Analytical Chemist:

• Salary Range: $55/hour (USD)
