Systems Engineer

Piper Enterprise Solutions is seeking a hybrid Systems Engineer to join an innovative and exciting healthcare company in Columbia, Maryland.

Responsibilities of the Systems Engineer-

• Design, implement, and maintain hybrid IT infrastructure that integrates on-premises and cloud environments.
• Configure and manage DNS servers to ensure reliable domain name resolution.
• Implement and manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to enforce security settings and configurations across the network.
• Configure and manage Palo Alto firewalls to protect network perimeters and ensure secure access.
• Implement Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) to manage digital certificates and secure communications.
• Administer and maintain Microsoft-based systems, including Windows Server, Active Directory, and Office 365.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to network, security, and system performance.

Qualifications of the Systems Engineer:

• 8+ years of direct experience with Microsoft products, including Windows Server, Exchange Server, as well as Active Directory.
• Subject matter expert level of knowledge with storage infrastructure, virtualization and cloud, system security, Microsoft O365, Microsoft Active Directory, etc.
• Experience supporting and working with Software Development Lifecycle.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related area or 8-10 years of experience in the field.
• MCSE or similar certifications are preferred.

Compensation of the Systems Engineer:

• Salary range: $100,000-130,000
