Technical Delivery Manager - 174975

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Technical Delivery Manager to support a leading commercial finance company providing customized lending and financial solutions to middle-market businesses. This is a HYBRID position in Bethesda, MD (at least 3 days/week onsite)*

The Technical Delivery Manager will own the day-to-day delivery of software, automation, and data initiatives, leading project planning, Agile ceremonies, dependency and risk management, and executive reporting while coordinating internal product and technical teams with external development partners across Appian, Azure, and Microsoft Fabric projects.

Responsibilities of the Technical Delivery Manager:

• Own end-to-end delivery across Appian software/workflow, automation, Azure integration, Microsoft Fabric/data, and AI initiatives.
• Lead project planning, Agile ceremonies, schedules, dependencies, risks/issues, and delivery tracking through Jira.
• Manage external development partners, driving accountability for timelines, commitments, quality, and deliverables.
• Coordinate between Product Managers/Product Owners, developers, architects, technical leads, and vendors, translating priorities into executable delivery plans without owning product scope or technical architecture.
• Provide clear, accurate executive status reporting on delivery progress, risks, blockers, dependencies, and overall project health.
• Support Microsoft Fabric initiatives spanning lakehouse environments, data domains, governance, data quality, and Data/AI Agents.

Qualifications for the Technical Delivery Manager:

• 5+ years of technical project/delivery management experience across software/application and data projects.
• Strong experience managing software development delivery and working directly with development/technical teams.
• Proven experience managing external development partners/vendors and holding them accountable for schedule and quality.
• Strong Jira and Agile delivery experience, including user stories, tickets, ceremonies, dependencies, and project tracking.
• Experience in financial services or another regulated environment.
• Ability & Willingness to work onsite at least 3 days/week in Bethesda, MD*
• Highly Preferred:
  • Appian or comparable enterprise low-code/workflow platform experience.
  • Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric experience.
  • Experience with lakehouse/data platforms, data governance, or data quality initiatives.
  • Experience delivering AI, agentic AI, or automation projects.

Compensation for the Technical Delivery Manager:

• Salary Range: Up to $100,000 - $130,000 *depending on experience*
