Senior Cloud Services Consultant

Piper Companies is seeking a Remote Senior Cloud Services Consultant to join a leading provider of cloud and cybersecurity consulting services. The Senior Cloud Services Consultant will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing secure cloud environments for clients across federal and commercial sectors.

Responsibilities of the Senior Cloud Services Consultant include:

• Lead the design and deployment of secure, scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP platforms
• Develop and implement compliance monitoring strategies aligned with frameworks such as FedRAMP, FISMA, CMMC, and NIST
• Provide subject matter expertise in cloud architecture, security, and governance to support client transformation initiatives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop cloud strategies, service delivery models, and modernization roadmaps
• Conduct risk assessments, cost-benefit analyses, and cloud readiness evaluations to inform investment decisions
• Create and deliver technical documentation, executive briefings, and stakeholder presentations
• Identify opportunities for automation and optimization within cloud operations and governance workflows

Qualifications for the Senior Cloud Services Consultant:

• 6+ years of experience in cloud architecture and security systems engineering
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms
• Strong understanding of compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP, FISMA, CMMC, SOC, ISO, HIPAA, and PCI
• Proven experience in professional services or consulting environments
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall project management methodologies
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Skills and Certifications:

• Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA, AWS Solutions Architect – Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud – Professional Cloud Architect, GIAC Public Cloud Security, PMP
• Experience with cloud networking tools (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco ASAv, VPC peering, Transit Gateway)

Compensation for the Senior Cloud Services Consultant:

• Salary Range: $120,000 – $145,000
• Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), PTO, Sick Leave (as required by law), and Holidays
