Financial Reporting and Data Analyst

Piper Companies is seeking a Financial Reporting and Data Analyst to join an established Investment Management company located in Wayne, PA. This position is HYBRID, and requires you to be onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. This role involves analyzing and interpreting financial data to support strategic decision-making, enhance operational efficiency, and provide actionable insights to leadership.

Responsibilities of the Financial Reporting and Data Analyst:

• Collect, analyze, and interpret financial data from multiple sources to support business decisions.
• Build and maintain financial models to forecast performance and evaluate business scenarios.
• Collaborate with finance leads to contextualize data and prepare presentations for senior leadership.
• Conduct variance analysis, identify trends, and recommend process or performance improvements.
• Develop and enhance reporting tools, dashboards, and ad-hoc analyses to support internal stakeholders.

Qualifications of the Financial Reporting and Data Analyst:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in financial services; CPA progress or public accounting experience is a plus.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and FP&A processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Proficient in Excel and financial modeling; experience with tools like Tableau, Anaplan, or similar.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across teams.

 Compensation for the Financial Reporting and Data Analyst:

Salary: $60,000-$75,000
