Senior Scientist, Media Formulation

Piper Health & Sciences is hiring for a Senior Scientist, Media Formulation at a biotechnology organization in the Greater Minneapolis, MN area. This is a full-time, direct hire position with comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities for the Senior Scientist include:

·       Design, optimize, and develop mammalian cell culture media formulations

·       Work with primary cells and stem cells to advance cell-based research and therapies

·       Lead experimental phases of complex R&D projects with a creative and strategic approach

·       Apply scientific knowledge and technical expertise to improve media formulations and cell viability

·       Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to drive scientific innovation

·       Leverage research, IP knowledge, and development processes to contribute to our mission

Qualifications for the Senior Scientist include:

·       Master’s Degree in cell/molecular biology, biomedical engineering, biomanufacturing, biomedical sciences, or physiology with 8+ years of experience in mammalian cell culture media formulation, OR:

·       PhD in the same fields with 5+ years of experience

·       Proven expertise in novel media formulations for primary or stem cell cultures

·       Experience managing complex R&D projects and collaborating across disciplines is preferred

Compensation for the Senior Scientist includes:

·       Salary range: approximately $121,000 to $135,000 annually, commensurate with experience
