The Account Executive will play a pivotal role in supporting product launches within the Rare Disease Organization, focusing on neuromuscular conditions. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with healthcare providers, ensuring market awareness, and driving patient access to treatment. The Account Executive will act as a trusted advisor, advocating for patients while implementing strategic sales and marketing initiatives to enhance engagement with key stakeholders across the New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, and Southern Massachusetts territory.
Location: Remote with travel across assigned territory
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive territory sales objectives while maintaining ethical standards
- Develop and execute strategic business plans tailored to local market needs
- Advocate for rare disease patients by ensuring providers have the necessary support and resources
- Engage with physicians, hospital systems, pharmacies, and other healthcare stakeholders to enhance disease awareness and patient access
- Manage payer relationships to facilitate coverage and reimbursement for treatments
- Support disease education initiatives, collaborating with patient advocacy groups
- Share market insights with internal teams to optimize strategies and approaches

Core Focus Areas in Rare Disease:
- Understanding the patient journey and barriers to care
- Identifying patients in need of treatment using innovative strategies
- Managing tactical patient access initiatives
- Assisting caregivers and patients in navigating healthcare challenges
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Eight or more years of field experience in biopharma sales, account management, or field reimbursement
- Five or more years in a competitive specialty market
- Experience with buy-and-bill, specialty pharmacy, and HUB delivery models
- Consistently ranked in the top 30 percent nationally for sales performance
- Proven track record in product launches
- Comfortable with up to 60 percent travel, including overnight stays
Preferred Experience:
- Two or more years in rare or orphan drug sales
- Neuroscience sales experience, including epilepsy, oncology, hematology, and specialty reimbursement models
- Experience with biologic therapies requiring administration by healthcare providers
- Familiarity with REMS requirements
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary between $148,600 and $194,000 per year, with flexibility based on experience
- Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, PTO, 401K, and bonuses, with sick leave required by law
