Building Management Systems (BMS) Lead

Piper Companies is seeking a Building Management Systems (BMS) Lead to join a growing leader in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology space for a contract, hybrid position located in Holly Springs, NC. The BMS Lead will oversee teams and systems integrators, ensuring efficient project execution, optimizing building automation systems, and enhancing BMS equipment performance while driving energy management and sustainability initiatives.

Responsibilities of the BMS Lead include:

• Lead teams of internal and external resources, including systems integrators, to ensure efficient project execution and system reliability.
• Provide expertise in Siemens, Rockwell, and Wonderware, optimizing integration and functionality within building automation systems.
• Oversee and enhance BMS equipment performance, including chillers, boilers, and air handling units (AHUs), to support operational efficiency.
• Develop strategies for energy management and system improvements, driving sustainability, automation, and continuous optimization.

Qualifications for the BMS Lead include:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in building management systems, automation, or related fields.
• Proven ability to lead teams, including internal staff and external systems integrators, to successfully implement BMS solutions.
• Functional expertise in PLCs.
• Hands-on expertise with Siemens, Rockwell, and Wonderware systems, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
• Strong knowledge of BMS equipment, including chillers, boilers, and air handling units (AHUs), with a focus on operational efficiency and compliance.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field.

 Compensation for the BMS Lead:

• Salary Range: $90-$95/hour (USD)
