Junior Engineering Manager

Piper Companies is seeking a highly analytical and process-driven Junior Engineering Manager to support critical infrastructure initiatives within a fast-paced technical environment. This role focuses on optimizing document control, workflow management, and project oversight, ensuring consistency and efficiency across engineering projects. This position is onsite most days in Holly Springs, NC.

Key Responsibilities of the Junior Engineering Manager:

• Maintain system lists and distribution matrices for documentation tracking
• Oversee software tools for routing submittals, managing walk-downs, punch lists, and turnover processes
• Develop and enforce workflows to ensure consistency across engineering projects
• Generate reports on punch lists, drawings, and project metrics to keep teams aligned
• Drive process improvement through digital tools and structured analysis

Qualifications of the Junior Engineering Manager:

• 2+ years of experience in construction, CapEx, or an engineering-related role
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
• Strong analytical and IT skills, including the ability to:
• Extract and analyze data from databases
• Develop visual reports and graphs to support communication
• Create training materials (preferably graphic or slide-based) for knowledge transfer
• A systematic thinker with a passion for process improvement and digital tools

Compensation and Benefits of the Junior Engineering Manager:

• Hourly Rate: $70–$76 per hour
