Piper Companies is seeking a Market Research Insights Lead to join a global leader in biopharmaceutical innovation, for a remote contract position through the end of the year based in EST. The Market Research Insights Lead will lead global insight generation initiatives across functions, translating complex pharmaceutical data into strategic, actionable recommendations that shape business decisions throughout the asset lifecycle.

 

Responsibilities of the Market Research Insights Lead include:

  • Lead cross-functional insight generation efforts by designing and executing global and regional market research projects across stakeholder groups (patients, HCPs, payers) in Neurology and Rare Disease, with flexibility to support additional therapeutic areas as needed.
  • Collaborate with business partners and Integrated Insights teams (Market Research, Competitive Intelligence, Advanced Analytics) to define key business questions and select optimal methodologies to generate actionable, business-driven insights.
  • Transform data into strategic recommendations by synthesizing multiple information sources, identifying meaningful patterns, and delivering clear, impactful insights that influence brand strategies, launch planning, and asset valuation.
  • Champion innovative research approaches and best practices, including emerging methodologies and technologies (e.g., AI, social listening), while ensuring compliance with global SOPs, PV obligations, and MR governance requirements.
  • Ensure insights shape business decisions by embedding HCP, patient, and payer perspectives into brand campaigns and tactics, proactively communicating with cross-functional stakeholders, and monitoring the impact of research efforts.

 

Qualifications for the Market Research Insights Lead include:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in insights generation roles (market research, business intelligence, analytics) within the pharmaceutical industry, either agency or client side, with a proven record of driving strategic impact.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional collaboration, translate complex data into actionable insights, and manage global research initiatives across commercial, medical, and market access functions.
  • Strong project management skills, with a structured, analytical mindset and a passion for continuous improvement, agile experimentation, and strategic problem solving.
  • Skilled communicator capable of advising stakeholders, crafting compelling insight narratives, and integrating findings from diverse data sources—primary, secondary, quantitative, and qualitative.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in business, life sciences, public health, or related field preferred.

 

 Compensation for the Market Research Insights Lead:

  • Salary Range: $140-$148/hour
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, sick leave if required by law, and 401K
