Piper Companies is looking for an HR Manager to join a financial services and life insurance company. This is based in Urbana, MD with 2 remote days per week.
Essential Duties of the HR Manager:
- Design, implementation, and management of various aspects of employee experience in alignment with company strategic goals and objective.
- Continuously review and update the new hire orientation program.
- Refine/deliver onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Research HR topics and review relevant legislation to assess business impact.
- Develop the annual budget in line with company goals and department objectives. Assess benefit plans, project costs, and vendor contracts to establish reasonable budget needs.
Qualifications of the HR Manager:
- 3+ years of HR experience.
- 3+ years leading programs and projects in one or more of the following areas: employee experience, employee engagement, employee journey management, organizational development.
- Very strong experience reviewing/editing policies and tracking legislation in relation to onboarding/hiring employees.
- Certifications like PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP are preferred.
Compensation for the HR Manager:
- $90,000 - $120,000 (based on experience)
- 2 remote days per week
- 401k matching
