Piper Companies is seeking a Assistant Vice President – Credit Cards to join one of the nation’s largest premier credit unions based in McLean, VA. This executive role will lead the strategic vision, innovation, and performance of the credit card portfolio, with a focus on driving revenue growth, digital transformation, and long-term member value. This position is hybrid in McLean, VA!
Responsibilities of the Assistant Vice President – Credit Cards include:
· Lead the strategic direction and execution of the credit card business, ensuring sustainable revenue growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.
· Oversee the development and implementation of long-term product strategies that drive market differentiation and member engagement.
· Manage full P&L responsibilities, including monitoring key financial metrics such as revenue, expenses, and net interest margins.
· Identify and prioritize opportunities for product innovation, digital experience enhancements, and new credit card offerings.
· Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to align product initiatives with organizational goals.
· Guide the development of targeted marketing strategies to support acquisition, engagement, and retention across diverse member segments.
· Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and manage risk across the credit card portfolio.
· Champion a culture of data-driven decision-making, continuous improvement, and customer-centric innovation.
Qualifications for the Vice President – Credit Cards include:
· 15+ years of experience in product strategy, credit card management, or consumer lending, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
· Proven track record of driving product growth, profitability, and digital transformation in a financial services environment.
· Deep expertise in credit card economics, pricing strategies, customer lifecycle management, and regulatory compliance.
· Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
· Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex, high-impact initiatives.
· Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
Compensation for the Assistant Vice President – Credit Cards includes:
Salary: $180,000 -210,000 Executive Bonus
Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), PTO, Sick Leave (as required by law), and Holidays
