Software Developer/ Service Delivery Lead

Piper Companies is seeking a Software Developer/ Service Delivery Lead to join an established IT Services company based in Wilmington, DE. This position is 100% ONSITE. The Software Developer/ Service Delivery Lead will be responsible for converting Oracle-based systems to Microsoft SQL, developing and optimizing database-driven applications, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Responsibilities of the Software Developer/ Service Delivery Lead:

• Collaborate with a Scrum team to convert Oracle code to Microsoft SQL and develop application logic based on business requirements.
• Design, write, and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures, primarily at the database layer.
• Work closely with QA and development teams to define acceptance criteria, troubleshoot issues, and ensure bug-free releases.
• Develop and maintain applications using .NET technologies, including web-based and MS Access client-server systems.
• Analyze and interpret data to support application functionality and business decision-making.

Qualification of the Software Developer/ Service Delivery Lead:

• 3–5 years of hands-on development experience with a strong focus on SQL and .NET technologies.
• Proficiency in advanced SQL writing and performance tuning using SQL Server and/or Oracle.
• Experience with .NET Framework, .NET Core, C#, VB, ASP.NET, and Visual Studio.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Access, Entity Framework, Dapper, and Azure DevOps.
• Exposure to Blazor and React is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Compensation for the Software Developer/ Service Delivery Lead:

Salary: $130,000-$140,000 ***depending on experience***
