Piper Companies is seeking a Technical Support Engineer II for an innovative cybersecurity and data analytics company located in Morrisville, North Carolina (NC). The Technical Support Engineer II will be responsible for handling all Tier 2 support. This position follows a hybrid work model that reports onsite Wednesdays and Thursdays in Morrisville, NC.

 

Responsibilities of the Technical Support Engineer II:

  • Resolve complex issues in data security, permissions, and access management.
  • Analyze logs and user activity to identify root causes and solutions.
  • Partner with engineering and product teams to escalate and improve systems.
  • Assist customers with secure setup, deployment, and best practices.
  • Contribute to documentation and mentor junior team members.

 

Qualifications for the Technical Support Engineer II:

  • 2+ years of experience providing technical support and troubleshooting for customers.
  • Strong background in Microsoft Active Directory and Windows Server environments.
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook and related tools.
  • Skilled in diagnosing permission issues and writing basic SQL queries.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.

 

Compensation for the Technical Support Engineer II:

  • Salary Range: $80,000-$85,000/year
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Sick leave if required by law, medical, dental, vision, 401K
