Sr. Full Stack Java Developer

Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Developer who will be responsible for reducing mainframe dependency and building cloud-native solutions. The Full stack engineer will be hybrid in Merrimack, NH.

Responsibilities for the Senior Full Stack Java Developer include:

• Architect, implement, and support robust, secure, and high-performing applications using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
• Develop and validate comprehensive data pipelines and APIs to integrate legacy mainframe systems with AWS cloud services.
• Partner with architects, product managers, and fellow developers to drive technical innovation and platform evolution.
• Contribute to code reviews, enhance CI/CD workflows, and promote automated testing practices.
• Leverage observability tools to proactively monitor, diagnose, and resolve issues in production environments.

Requirements for the Senior Full Stack Java Developer include:

• 7+ years of hands-on experience with Java, Spring, and Spring Boot frameworks.
• Deep knowledge of object-oriented programming, data structures, and multithreading concepts.
• Proficient in AWS services such as EKS/ECS, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch, SQS, EC2, and IAM.
• Practical experience with Kafka for building event-driven systems and real-time data flows.
• Familiar with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Skilled in working with both SQL and NoSQL databases; experience with CockroachDB is a bonus.
• Strong grasp of testing methodologies and continuous integration/delivery pipelines.
• Exposure to front-end technologies and UI development is advantageous.

Compensation for the Senior Full Stack Java Developer includes:

• Hourly rate: $75-80hr
