Integration Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking an Integration Engineer to join an established Healthcare organization located in Maryland for a contract to hire opportunity. This position is REMOTE. The Integration Engineer will create, configure, and maintain data connections. The Integration Engineer will also resolve issues with current integrations and assist in reviewing and monitoring data flow.

Responsibilities of Integration Engineer:

• Collaborate with customers to onboard new data feeds and connections.
• Maintain operational status of production data feeds and systems.
• Monitor data flow to ensure information reaches it intended destination.
• Troubleshoot errors in production feeds and assist. dependent system owners with troubleshooting.
• Handle daily and weekly on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications of the Integration Engineer:

• 1-4 years in healthcare integrations.
• 2-4 years of healthcare technology experience
• Proficient in healthcare integrations, particularly with HL7 messages, and experienced in managing the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Skilled in creating and interpreting technical documentation, and understanding data encryption principles, including VPN and TLS connections.
• Demonstrates outstanding communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Capable of evaluating and solving complex problems and issues efficiently.
• Preferred: Working knowledge of Mirth Connect, JavaScript, HL7 V2, and HL7 CCDA; experience with Python and knowledge of FHIR are advantageous.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or information systems

Compensation for the Integration Engineer:

• Target Conversion Salary: $90,000-$115,000 ***depending on experience***
