Piper Companies is seeking a Control Room Operator for a global leader in innovative chronic disease care in Clayton, North Carolina (NC). The Control Room Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining manufacturing systems to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant production in a regulated environment. This position will be a contract role that will sit on-site in Clayton, NC.
Responsibilities of the Control Room Operator:
- Operate and monitor automated and manual systems in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for both GMP and non-GMP environments.
- Perform routine equipment inspections, site rounds, and raw material handling to support efficient plant operations.
- Identify, document, and escalate system or operational issues to minimize downtime and maintain safety.
- Support maintenance and troubleshooting of control systems including BMS, PCS, and Life Safety systems.
- Ensure compliance with all quality, safety, and environmental regulations through proper documentation and housekeeping.
Qualifications for the Control Room Operator:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience operating utility systems in a manufacturing or production environment (pharmaceutical experience is a plus, but not required).
- Functional knowledge of centrifugal pumps, boilers, heat exchangers, and chillers is preferred.
- Proven ability to monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain utility systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related technical discipline
Compensation for the Control Room Operator:
- Salary Range: $35-$40/hour
- Comprehensive Benefits: Sick leave if required by law, medical, dental, vision, 401K
