QC Technician (Micro)

Piper Health & Sciences is seeking an entry-level QC Technician to support the microbiology department of a growing biotechnology company in the Elkridge, MD area. This role is first shift, Monday – Friday working schedule and a great opportunity to gain industry experience.

Responsibilities for the QC Technician include:

·       Perform routine and in-process environmental monitoring (EM) sampling in a cleanroom environment.

·       Conduct and monitor environmental parameters including viable sampling, personnel sampling, temperatures, humidity, etc.

·       Assist with performing bioburden, TOC, conductivity, and endotoxin analysis of water and manufacturing samples.

·       Properly label and document cleanroom plates, EM data, and logbooks according to Good Documentation Practices (GDP).

·       Compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP/cGMP) and guidelines, including proper gowning/PPE and following aseptic protocols.

Qualifications for the QC Technician include:

·       0-1 years of regulated laboratory experience (academic or industry)

·       Knowledge of aseptic/sterile protocols and GMP/cGMP regulations is preferred.

·       Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED is required. Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.

Compensation for the QC Technician includes:

·       Salary range: approximately $18.00 - $22.00 hourly, commensurate with experience
