EPIC Willow Pharmacist

Piper Companies is seeking an EPIC Willow Pharmacist to join an established healthcare company located in the Lehigh Valley area. This is a contract position and is 100% remote. The EPIC Willow Pharmacist will supports acute care pharmacy operations and clinical informatics by leveraging expertise in Epic Willow and related systems to optimize medication management, order entry, and clinical decision support.

Responsibilities of the Epic Willow Pharmacist:

• Lead and support clinical software initiatives, including Epic Willow builds and configuration for medication records, ordersets, and protocols.
• Collaborate with pharmacy and clinical teams to validate system builds and ensure alignment with clinical workflows.
• Manage compendium updates, CAM/FAM builds, and Beacon protocol development to maintain system accuracy and functionality.
• Provide on-call support and troubleshoot Epic Willow-related issues in coordination with IT and clinical staff.
• Participate in testing, governance, and project management activities to ensure successful implementation and optimization.

Qualifications of the EPIC Willow Pharmacist:

• Bachelor’s or Doctorate in Pharmacy.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with clinical applications or direct Epic build, implementation, and support.
• At least 5 years as a hospital pharmacist in a large hospital/IDN or completion of a PGY2 Pharmacy Informatics residency.
• EPIC Certification in Willow Inpatient and Beacon certification is required.
• Strong analytical skills to assess clinical/business problems and develop effective solutions.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Team-oriented with a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement.

Compensation for the EPIC Willow Pharmacist:

• Hourly Rate: $75.0-$85.0 ***depending on experience***
