Cloud Operations Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Cloud Operations Engineer, to join a leading cybersecurity and compliance firm that helps organizations across industries secure their cloud environments and manage risk through technical advisory, audits, automation, and vulnerability management. The Cloud Operations Engineer will collaborate with clients and cloud providers to design, implement, and secure cloud infrastructure and tooling across AWS, Azure, and GCP, while driving digital transformation through automation, compliance, and security best practices.

Responsibilities of the Cloud Operations Engineer include:

• Collaborate within a dynamic engineering team to deliver innovative cloud and security solutions tailored to client needs.
• Act as a subject matter expert in AWS, Azure, and GCP, guiding clients through cloud architecture, design, and automated deployment strategies.
• Design and deploy advanced security tools—including Tenable, AquaSec, and Microsoft Defender—to enhance cloud infrastructure protection.
• Develop strategic cloud and security roadmaps, helping clients align technical implementations with long-term business goals.
• Implement secure, compliant infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code across diverse cloud environments, ensuring robust enterprise-grade systems.

Qualifications for the Cloud Operations Engineer include:  

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in systems engineering, including defining requirements, developing architectures, and integrating complex systems.
• Proven expertise in designing, deploying, and automating cloud environments using AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Skilled in Infrastructure-as-Code practices with tools like Terraform and Ansible to streamline cloud operations.
• Strong background in cloud platform services and roles such as Cloud Architect, DevOps Engineer, or Security Engineer.
• Effective communicator and problem-solver with a track record of thriving in Agile teams and fast-paced environments.

Compensation for the Cloud Operations Engineer include:

• Salary: $115,000 - $125,000 
• Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave as required by law, and Holidays
