Senior AWS Cloud Platform Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is looking for a Senior AWS Cloud Platform Engineer to join a government subcontractor supporting an Air Force program. This is onsite in San Antonio, TX and full-time position.

 Essential Duties of the Sr AWS Cloud Platform Engineer:

• Develop and manage Kubernetes environments on AWS for containerized applications.
• Manage infrastructure as code, security, and DevOps practices for AWS resources.
• Work on CI/CD integration and application lifecycle management.
• Optimize performance, troubleshoot networking issues, and ensure system security.

Qualifications of the Sr AWS Cloud Platform Engineer:

• 6+ years of experience in AWS and DevOps engineering with a focus on Kubernetes. 
• 10+ years of experience in System Administration on Linux and Windows platforms.
• Demonstrated experience and/or training in system administration in relation to workloads on AWS systems, Amazon EKS & in supporting development & testing teams.
• Required: IAT Level II certification (such as Security+)
• "Nice to have" - Certifications such as AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS SysOps Admin, KCNA, CKA, RHCE
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance.

 Compensation for the Sr AWS Cloud Platform Engineer:

• $150,000 - $170,000 (based on experience)
