Piper Health & Sciences is seeking a Senior Scientist with deep expertise in regenerative medicine, tissue engineering, and biomedical engineering to support the mission of the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H). In this role, you will help drive bold, high-impact R&D initiatives aimed at solving some of the most pressing health challenges facing society today.

 

Responsibilities for the Senior Scientist include:

·       Collaborate with Program Managers to support the development, funding, and execution of innovative R&D programs.

·       Conduct in-depth technical evaluations of current research portfolios to identify gaps and opportunities aligned with ARPA-H’s mission.

·       Monitor and assess performer progress against established metrics and milestones.

·       Prepare and deliver high-quality briefings and reports for both technical and non-technical audiences.

·       Critically review scientific and technical data using strong analytical and logical reasoning.

·       Support internal programmatic reporting and documentation in health-related fields.

·       Operate independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

·       Perform basic administrative tasks related to program tracking and reporting.

·       Travel domestically as needed to support program activities (~10–20% CONUS).

 

Qualifications for the Senior Scientist include:

·       PhD in tissue engineering, biomedical engineering, regenerative therapeutics, genetic engineering, gene editing, cell therapy, or a related field.

·       Minimum of 4 years of industry experience in biotechnology or biopharmaceutical companies, preferably in startups or mid-cap organizations.

·       Experience in regulatory affairs within the biotech or biopharma sector.

·       Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel, including the ability to create presentations and spreadsheets in real-time during meetings.

 

Compensation for the Senior Scientist includes:

·       Salary: approximately $145,000 - $185,000 annually, commensurate with experience

·       Comprehensive Benefits: Cigna Medical, Dental, Vision, ADP 401k, PTO, Paid Holidays, STD, LTD, Sick leave as required by law
