Technical (Software Engineering) Program Manager

Piper Companies is hiring a Technical (Software Engineering) Program Manager for an E-Learning SaaS company located in Raleigh, NC. The Technical (Software Engineering) Program Manager will be supporting an modernization project with the company and needs to be familiar with microservices and cloud architecture. The Technical (Software Engineering) Program Manager will needs to sit on site 3 days per week in Raleigh, NC and is a 6 month Contract to Hire position.

Responsibilities for the Technical (Software Engineering) Program Manager:

• Lead and manage multiple concurrent technical programs, ensuring alignment with business goals and timely delivery
• Proactively identify and eliminate engineering roadblocks, enabling teams to maintain momentum
• Escalate risks and concerns to leadership with clarity and urgency, offering actionable mitigation strategies
• Facilitate technical discussions and ensure alignment on architecture decisions, especially in areas involving microservices and cloud infrastructure
• Champion agile methodologies and foster a culture of continuous improvement

Requirements for the Technical (Software Engineering) Program Manager:

• Proven experience as a Technical Program Manager, ideally with a background as a Software Engineer
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), and scalable systems
• Demonstrated ability to remove technical and organizational blockers
• Experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills
• Ability to influence without authority and drive alignment across diverse team

Compensation for Technical (Software Engineering) Program Manager:

• $125,000 - $145,000 base salary
• Full Comprehensive Benefits: Health, Vision and Dental , PTO, Paid Holiday and Sick Leave if Required by Law
