Senior Data Engineer

Piper Companies is hiring an Senior Data Engineer for a manufacturing company located in Cary, NC. The Senior Data Engineer is responsible for building a strategic data platform that consolidates terabytes of data from 50+ systems. The Senior Data Engineer is a full-time opportunity and requires the candidate to sit on site 3 days per week in Cary, NC.  

Responsibilities of the Indirect Procurement Buyer: 

• Design and develop data platform using the Google Cloud stack  
• Understand and extend microservices code in Java/Kotlin to support use cases on top of data 
• Guide engineering teams, promote best practices, and mentor junior engineers in software development and data engineering. 

Requirements of the Indirect Procurement Buyer: 

• 4+ years of data design and development  
• Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform or Amazon Web Services 
• Substantial experience using SQL 
• Proficient with Java, Scala, and Kotlin 

Compensation of the Indirect Procurement Buyer: 

• $145,000-$185,000
