Piper Companies is looking for an experienced Systems/Solutions Architect specializing in End User Computing to guide the strategic development and management of endpoint technologies for a leading healthcare organization. This hybrid (3 days onsite) role in Columbia, MD plays a key part in delivering secure, scalable, and intuitive technology solutions across a diverse range of devices and platforms.
Responsibilities of the Systems/Solutions Architect – End User Computing:
- Manage a large-scale deployment of approximately 10,000 Chromebooks and 4,500 Windows laptops used by 35,000 remote clinical professionals.
- Design and oversee the implementation of endpoint systems across Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, and Chrome OS.
- Lead initiatives for hardware configuration, operating system imaging, and software rollout.
- Administer mobile device management (MDM) platforms and support hybrid/cloud-based EUC environments.
- Develop automation scripts to streamline deployment and maintenance tasks.
- Ensure alignment with industry security standards such as HITRUST, NIST, and OWASP.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Translate complex technical concepts for various stakeholders and provide mentorship within a dynamic, matrixed organization.
Qualifications of the Systems/Solutions Architect – End User Computing:
- Proven experience managing mobile device fleets and implementing location-based policy controls.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience (10+ years in technology).
- Minimum of 7 years in a leadership role focused on endpoint management.
- Deep knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory, and Office 365.
- Strong background in MDM solutions for Android, iOS, and Chrome OS.
- Expertise in cloud and hybrid EUC architectures.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell and Bash.
- Familiarity with recognized security frameworks and compliance standards.
- Excellent analytical, multitasking, and communication skills.
- Fluent in English and skilled in Microsoft Office applications.
Compensation of the Systems/Solutions Architect – End User Computing:
- Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000 with merit-based bonuses
- Comprehensive benefits package includes: Medical/Dental/Vision via Cigna, 401(k) via ADP, PTO, Paid Holidays, and Sick Leave as required by law
