Piper Health & Sciences is seeking a Surgical Scheduler II to join a life sciences research organization in Norton Shores, MI area. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity for candidates with a background or interest in working with animal subjects.
Responsibilities for the Surgical Scheduler II include:
· Coordinate and manage study schedules, calendars, and animal deliveries in alignment with protocols and SOPs.
· Communicate with lab personnel to ensure availability of animals, rooms, and resources.
· Optimize resource allocation and room utilization across studies.
· Review study protocols and assess lab capabilities for scheduling feasibility.
· Forecast lab capacity and collaborate with supporting departments.
· Train junior schedulers and lead process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications for the Surgical Scheduler II include:
· Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED is required. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related role is preferred.
· 3+ years of experience in a regulated scientific environment and 1 year of scheduling experience is preferred.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams)
Compensation for the Surgical Scheduler II includes:
· Salary range: $26.00 - $40.00 hourly, commensurate with experience
