Piper Companies is looking for a Benefits Administrator to join a growing product development support services company located in Bethesda, MD.
Responsibilities of the Benefits Administrator include:
- Administer employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and supplemental benefits, with a focus on coordinating with the health insurance TPA.
- Serve as the primary liaison with the TPA and benefit management firm, ensuring timely and accurate communication of benefit-related updates.
- Manage claims reconciliation and payments, including monthly payments for TPA fees and supplemental programs.
- Coordinate employee 401(k) enrollments, changes, loans, and disbursements in collaboration with plan administrators and payroll.
- Oversee FMLA requests, Workers’ Compensation claims, COBRA enrollments, and tuition/professional development benefits.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations (ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, FMLA) and support year-end reporting and audits.
Qualifications for the Benefits Administrator include:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing benefits for organizations with 400+ employees.
- Proven experience working with third-party administrators (TPAs) for health benefits.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and analytical capabilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working with vendor portals.
Compensation for the Benefits Administrator includes:
- Rate Range: $75,000.00–$95,000.00/year
- Comprehensive Benefit Package: Medical/Dental/Vision, 401K, Sick Leave as Required by Law
