Sr. Data Scientist

Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to support an industry leader in technology. This position will be remote in Raleigh, NC. The Senior Data Scientist will be focused applying AI/ML techniques to improve operational efficiency.

Responsibilities of the Senior Data Scientist include:

• Dive into our numerous data sources to understand the connections that matter and build and implement machine learning and artificial intelligence solutions that will derive insights from quantitative and qualitative data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for applying AI/ML to automate workflows and improve operational efficiency.
• Design, train, and fine-tune Large Language Models (LLMs) for Natural Language Processing NLP (NLP) tasks such as text classification, summarization, sentiment analysis, and entity recognition.

Qualifications for the Senior Data Scientist include:

• Master's Degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• 5+ years of proven expertise in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning with a strong focus on NLP and model development.
• Expertise in Python, R, or other programming languages and development environments with experience in Machine Learning frameworks.

Compensation for the Senior Data Scientist include:

• Salary Range: $120,000-140,000
• Comprehensive Benefits: Cigna Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave if required by law, and Holidays
