IT Operations Lead

Piper Companies is seeking an IT Operations Lead to join an enterprise company located in Raleigh- Durham , NC. This role is a six month contract to hirewith a local start up company.

Responsibilities of the IT Operations Lead

• Collaborate with our MSP to implement, configure, and manage Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, etc.).
• Administer user identities, licensing, and configurations across Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and third-party SaaS platforms.
• Serve as the primary contact for access provisioning and revocation, ensuring compliance with enterprise security policies.
• Deploy and manage security and compliance policies for cloud services and mobile devices.
• Provide third-level technical support to employees and act as an escalation point for vendor-supported services.
• Troubleshoot issues involving staff and external partner institutions.
• Coordinate with external vendors for issue resolution, system changes, and support escalations

Qualifications of the IT Operations Lead

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience supporting cloud-based applications in a remote or hybrid environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration, including user management and licensing.
• Proven experience with Entra ID.
• Experience with ticketing systems, tiered technical support, and vendor coordination.
• Understanding of security best practices for SaaS access and device management.

Compensation for the

• Salary Range: $80,000- $110,000 annually
