Security Automation Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join an organization in Philadelphia, PA for a remote opportunity. A Senior Security Engineer will provide planning, engineering, implementation, monitoring and analysis of endpoint security systems.

Responsibilities of the Senior Security Engineer:

·      Design and implement secure endpoint configurations, including hardening, controls and systems to protect sensitive data while identifying improvements and eliminating threats.

·      Maintain security systems such as endpoint detection and response (EDR), data loss prevention (DLP), mobile device management (MDM), endpoint protection platforms (EPP), application control, and device encryption technologies.

·      Monitor endpoint activity for suspicious behavior and investigate potential security incidents related to endpoint infrastructure

·      Provide complex technical oversight and enforcement of security directives, orders, standards, plans related to endpoint security

Qualifications for the Senior Security Engineer:

·      7+ years of experience in cyber security engineering, focus on endpoint security

·      Hans-on experience with endpoint security tools such as EDR, DPL, MDM, EPP, application control, and device encryption

·      Tier III support (required)

·      Effective communication skills to act as a liaison between other engineer groups

·      Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, or related field (master’s preferred)

Compensation for Senior Security Engineer:

·      Salary: $140,000

·      Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Sick Leave if required by law

·      Long-term contract (with strong possibility of extension)

·      REMOTE
