Senior Java Cloud Engineer

Piper Companies is hiring a Java Cloud Engineer for a global financial institution located in Cary, NC. The Java Cloud Engineer will be hands on and is responsible for building performance dashboards along with debugging and teach backs. The Java Cloud Engineer  is a full-time opportunity and requires the candidate to sit on site 2 days per week in Cary, NC.  

Responsibilities of the Java Cloud Engineer: 

• Design and develop data platform using the Google Cloud stack  
• Perform hands on coding, debugging, and build out performance dashboards 
• Guide engineering teams, promote best practices, and mentor junior engineers in software development and data engineering. 

Requirements of the Java Cloud Engineer: 

• 8+ years of data design and development  
• Strong experience with Cloud Platforms but preferably GCP 
• Substantial experience building ground up tech 
• Proficient with Kubernetes and Spring Boot 
• Strong experience with object storage 

Compensation of the Java Cloud Engineer: 

• $130,000-$185,000 + 10% Bonus
