Linux Systems Administrator / Engineer (CI Polygraph)

Piper Companies is hiring a Linux Systems Administrator / Engineer (CI Polygraph) for a large technology organization located in Reston, VA. The Linux Systems Administrator / Engineer (CI Polygraph) will support enterprise systems and network monitoring platforms, including the deployed Network Management System (NMS). The Linux Systems Administrator / Engineer (CI Polygraph) is a long term contracting opportunity and requires you to sit onsite 5 days per week in Reston, VA.

Responsibilities of the Linux Systems Administrator / Engineer (CI Polygraph):

• Administer and maintain enterprise Linux environments (preferably RHEL)
• Build and manage virtual servers and containers (Docker/Kubernetes a plus)
• Support networking infrastructure: switching, subnets, VLANs, and storage
• Develop and maintain scripts for automation and system management
• Implement NIST 800-53 security controls and maintain DOD 8570 compliance
• Collaborate on monitoring solutions; Splunk experience is a plus
• Provide support for virtualization, storage, and network operations

Requirements for the Linux Systems Administrator / Engineer (CI Polygraph):

• TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph
• Security+ or equivalent DOD 8570 certification
• Strong foundation in Linux, networking, virtualization, and storage
• Experience with scripting and automation tools

Compensation for the Linux Systems Administrator / Engineer (CI Polygraph):

• $135,000 - $150,000
