Network Test Engineer - Catalyst Center

Piper Companies is seeking a Network Test Engineer - Catalyst Center to join a high-impact engineering team supporting initiatives across DCI, Enterprise, SD-WAN, and CAIT domains. The ideal Network Test Engineer - Catalyst Center will be a strong hands-on engineer with deep expertise in network protocols, test automation, and customer-facing validation processes for a long term fully remote contract opportunity.

Responsibilities for the Network Test Engineer - Catalyst Center:

• Lead validation efforts including DCI, Enterprise, SD-WAN, and CAIT
• Develop and execute detailed test plans using Spirent and IXIA platforms
• Perform hands-on testing and validation of MPLS/L3VPN, Segment Routing, RSVP-TE, and SRTE protocols
• Work with IOS-XR and NCS55k hardware for advanced routing and switching validation
• Utilize Catalyst Center and Catalyst SD-WAN solutions for enterprise and SD-WAN testing
• Lead test automation efforts using Robot Framework scripting for CAIT initiatives
• Interface with customers to present test results, troubleshoot issues, and refine validation strategies

Qualifications for the Network Test Engineer - Catalyst Center:

• 3-5 years' experience with MPLS/L3VPN, Segment Routing, RSVP-TE, and SRTE
• Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain and maintain an Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance.
• Hands-on experience with IOS-XR and NCS55k hardware
• Proficiency in Catalyst Center and Catalyst SD-WAN technologies
• Experience with Spirent and IXIA for network testing and validation
• Experience with Robot Framework scripting for test automation (CAIT focus)

Compensation/Benefits for the Network Test Engineer - Catalyst Center:

• $48.00 - $53.00 / hour
