Software Engineer - Integrations

Piper Companies is seeking a skilled and collaborative Software Engineer – Integrations to support the development and maintenance of ETL pipelines that enable seamless integration of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) into our platform. This role is ideal for someone with strong Azure experience and a passion for building scalable data solutions in a cross-functional environment. The position is hybrid, requiring 3 days onsite in Durham, NC, and is offered as a 6-month contract-to-hire.

Key Responsibilities of the Software Engineer – Integrations:

• Design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines using Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Functions.
• Collaborate with Professional Services, Sales, and Data & Gen AI teams to customize integrations and support reporting solutions.
• Research and recommend integration strategies, including ESB options and scalable architecture patterns.
• Act as a subject-matter expert for platform and e-commerce ETL needs, ensuring alignment with best practices and technical standards.

Qualifications of the Software Engineer – Integrations:

• 3+ years of software development experience, with a focus on data integration and ETL pipelines.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, particularly Synapse, Data Factory, and Azure Functions.
• Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Benefits of the Software Engineer – Integrations:

• $90,000 - $110,000 annually
