Piper Companies is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join a leader in cybersecurity and data analytics, for a company located in Morrisville, NC. The Technical Support Engineer will be responsible for providing advanced technical support for data security solutions across cloud and on-prem environments, resolving complex issues and ensuring customer success. The Technical Support Engineer is a full-time opportunity and requires the candidate to sit on site 2 days per week in Morrisville, NC.
Responsibilities of the Technical Support Engineer II include:
- Provide advanced technical support and incident resolution for complex issues related to data security, permissions, and access management
- Investigate and analyze logs, system events, and user behavior to identify root causes and recommend long-term solutions
- Collaborate with internal engineering, product, and support teams to escalate critical issues and influence improvements
- Guide customers through configuration, deployment, and best practices for maintaining secure environments
- Contribute to technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and mentoring of junior support staff to elevate team capabilities
Qualifications for the Technical Support Engineer II include:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience providing technical troubleshooting and customer support
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory at the systems level
- Proficiency with Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Outlook, and related technologies
- Demonstrated experience with permissioning, diagnostics, and SQL query troubleshooting
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Compensation for the Technical Support Engineer II:
- Salary Range: $80,000-$85,000/year
