Cloud Security Engineer

Piper companies is seeking Cloud Security Engineer to join a growing infrastructure team. This role is REMOTE and focuses on securing cloud environments, particularly within Microsoft Azure, and plays a key role in protecting sensitive data across a multi-state healthcare ecosystem.

Responsibilities for Cloud Security Engineer:

• Configure and manage security settings across Microsoft Azure and Office
• Monitor and maintain Web Application Firewalls (WAF) to protect against threats and vulnerabilities
• Implement security measures to resolve vulnerabilities and mitigate risks
• Collaborate with security and compliance teams to design and enforce security policies
• Document security configurations, policies, and procedures
• Lead and contribute to IT security projects
• Evaluate applications and cybersecurity tools to ensure software assurance best practices

Qualifications for Cloud Security Engineer:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT Engineering
• Deep understanding of Azure security best practices
• Experience with Microsoft Defender for Cloud and other threat protection tools
• Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell/Python) and automation
• Hands-on experience with Azure administration
• Experience writing Sentinel playbooks and incident response procedures
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Familiarity with AWS is a plus

Compensation & Benefits for Cloud Security Engineer:

• Competitive base salary: $110,000–$130,000
• Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Sick Leave if required by law
• Remote
