Jr. Salesforce Developer

Piper Companies is seeking a Junior Salesforce Developer to support a large health system based in Columbia, Maryland. This is a remote contract to possible hire opportunity. The Junior Salesforce Developer will support the full development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, deployment, and collaboration with the team to deliver high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities of the Junior Salesforce Developer Include:

• End-to-end software development: Involvement in requirements gathering, system analysis, solution architecture, coding, code reviews, automated testing, and Agile practices like Scrum, TDD, and BDD.
• Hands-on technical execution: Focused on writing efficient code, optimizing performance, conducting unit tests, and managing deployments.
• Ensuring code integrity: Evaluating and offering constructive feedback on peers’ code to maintain high standards.
• Collaborative problem-solving: Supporting teammates in tackling complex challenges, sharing knowledge, and fostering growth through mentorship.
• Clear and consistent communication: Engaging effectively with team members to align goals and ensure smooth project delivery.

Qualifications for the Junior Salesforce Developer Include:

• 5-7+ years of IT experience
• Developed solutions using Salesforce Communities and Experience Cloud
• Integrated external applications with Salesforce via REST and SOAP APIs
• Utilized Salesforce Shield for data encryption and monitoring
• Delivered functionality within Sales Cloud and Service Cloud
• Apex Classes / Controllers, Apex Triggers, SOQL, SOSL, Test Classes, Scheduled jobs, Batch jobs, and Email services
• Salesforce Platform Developer I Certification required

Compensation for the Junior Salesforce Developer include:

• Target Conversion Salary: $105,000 - $125,000 *depending on experience*
