Cloud Security Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to join a Cloud Infrastructure team. The Cloud Security Engineer will secure and shape Azure environments by implementing cloud controls, managing threats, and driving policy.

Responsibilities of the Cloud Security Engineer Include:

• Configure and maintain security settings across Microsoft Azure, Office, and Entra environments.
• Deploy, monitor, and manage WAF solutions to protect web applications from threats and vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with the Security team to design and enforce cloud security policies and procedures.
• Maintain detailed documentation of security configurations, standards, and operational procedures.
• Evaluate applications and cybersecurity tools to ensure adherence to software assurance best practices.

Qualifications for the Cloud Security Engineer Include:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT Engineering.
• Proven experience as an Azure Administrator or Engineer with a security focus.
• Experience with Microsoft Defender for Cloud and other threat protection tools.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python, and automation tools.
• Experience writing Sentinel playbooks and incident response procedures.
• Certifications preferred: SSCP, CISSP, Azure Security.

Compensation for the Cloud Security Engineer Includes:

• Payrate: $52.89 – $62.50/hr. *depending on experience and qualifications*
• 100% Remote
