Manual QA Tester

Piper Companies is hiring a Manual QA Tester for a small company local to Durham, NC. The Manual QA Tester will work on end to end testing and needs to be meticulous and detail-oriented. The Manual QA Tester will need to sit on site 3 days per week in Durham, NC and is a contract role with potential to hire.

Responsibilities for the Manual QA Tester:

• Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans and test cases.
• Perform manual testing of software applications to identify defects and ensure quality.
• Conduct end-to-end testing to validate the complete workflow of applications, ensuring all components and systems work seamlessly together.
• Perform API testing to verify the integrity and functionality of backend services, ensuring they interact correctly with the front-end systems.
• Document and report bugs, issues, and defects clearly and concisely.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to resolve issues and ensure software meets requirements.
• Conduct regression testing to validate that fixes do not affect existing functionalities.
• Participate in test planning, requirement analysis, and review meetings.

Requirements for the Manual QA Tester:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is required.
• Proven experience as a Manual QA Tester or similar role.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and practices.
• Experience with end-to-end testing and API testing.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Compensation for the Manual QA Tester:

• $30.00-$40.00 per hour
