Manual Test Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Manual Test Engineer for a leading healthcare technology organization in Morrisville, NC. The Test Engineer will support both manual and automated testing efforts, with a strong focus on end-to-end testing in an Agile environment. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days onsite per week (typically Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) in Morrisville, NC.

Responsibilities for the Test Engineer include:

· Design, build, and execute manual test cases and plans

· Perform exploratory testing across web and API layers

· Develop and execute automated test scripts for web and API testing

· Review and provide feedback on test plans and technical documentation

· Refine user stories and contribute to backlog development

· Participate in Agile ceremonies and team meetings

· Build domain and technology knowledge including testing methodologies and best practices

· Collaborate with product development teams to identify and capture test cases

Requirements for the Test Engineer include:

· 3+ years of experience with manual testing

· 1+ years of experience with automated test case scripting and execution

· Strong background in end-to-end testing across various methodologies

· Experience working in Agile frameworks

· Familiarity with test case and defect management systems such as Jira or similar tools

· Ability to generate and execute test plans from technical documentation and requirements

· Functional knowledge of object-oriented programming languages (e.g., Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, C#/C++)

· Experience with CI/CD and setting up test environments and test data

· Must be eligible to work in the United States

Compensation for the Test Engineer:

· $60,000-$75,000 annual salary
