Software Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Software Engineer to support an industry leader in technology. This position will be hybrid in Raleigh, NC. The Software Engineer will work on implementing feature requests.

Responsibilities of the Software Engineer include:

• Must be comfortable jumping from one project to another.
• An individual willing to learn new things fits better in our team. 
• Assist around TLS, authentication protocols, and other security features.
• Must be comfortable in debugging problems.
• The individual must be willing to help design the code which will meet feature requests.

Qualifications for the Software Engineer include:

• Experience in multiple programming languages (Python, Java, C++, C, Go, etc) experience in backend dev, front end and full stack is a plus
• Some networking knowledge
• Some security protocol knowledge (ex: TLS, SSL)
• Familiarity with DevOps concepts (CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Git)
• Familiarity with Docker/containerization/Kubernetes
• Experience with virtual machines
• Experience developing within Linux OS

Compensation for the Software Engineer include:

• Salary Range: $100,000-115,000
• Comprehensive Benefits: Cigna Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave if required by law, and Holidays
