Frontend Software Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Frontend Software Engineer to join a growing technology team based in Durham, NC. The Frontend Software Engineer will have strong experience in developing user interfaces with react and typescript.

Responsibilities of the Frontend Software Engineer include:

• Design, develop, and maintain user interfaces using React and Typescript
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives, contributing to team alignment and sprint success.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to refine user stories, manage backlog items, and take ownership of complex features or components.
• Continuously improve the performance, scalability, and security of the codebase through refactoring and best practices.

Qualifications for the Frontend Software Engineer include:

• 3+ years of professional experience in frontend software development
• Strong proficiency in React and typescript
• Experience working in Agile environments and participating in Agile ceremonies
• Proven ability to optimize and refactor code for performance and scalability

Compensation for the Frontend Software Engineer includes:

• Salary range: $100,000 – $120,000 depending on experience
• Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO
• Hybrid work flexibility – 3 days a week onsite
