CEND Support Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a CEND Support Engineer to join a team supporting critical public health platforms. The CEND Support Engineer will play a key role in maintaining system performance, supporting customer onboarding, and driving technical excellence across the CEND and Population Explorer platforms.

Responsibilities of the CEND Support Engineer Include:

• Ensure the CEND and Population Explorer platforms are operational and performing within expectations.
• Manage onboarding processes and service offerings in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly documentation.
• Perform validations of new API releases related to notifications and provider data.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, resolve support tickets, and meet SLA requirements.

Qualifications for the CEND Support Engineer Include:

• 2+ years of experience with Python and SQL.
• Understanding of healthcare data types, including HL7 specifications.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Microsoft Azure, GitHub, and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Azure Databricks and Atlassian tools (Jira & Confluence).
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Data Science preferred (or equivalent experience).

Compensation for the CEND Support Engineer Includes:

• Targeted Base Salary: $65,000 – $85,000 *depending on experience and qualifications*
